Official WCAG-EM (W3C) accessibility audit methodology

We follow WCAG-EM, the official W3C methodology to evaluate web accessibility. It is a structured process that guarantees comparable, reproducible, and valid results for any external audit.

01 Initial diagnosis

What does Spanish and European legislation require?

Since September 2020, all Spanish public sector websites must comply with WCAG 2.1 AA under RD 1112/2018. This is not a future regulation: it is the current standard.

Europe does not regulate just for the sake of it. 15% of the population has some type of disability, and that percentage grows with aging. Accessibility is not an extra; it is designing services that work for everyone.

Since June 2025, the European Accessibility Act extends this obligation to private companies that offer essential services: banking, transportation, e-commerce, telecommunications. The goal is that all citizens can access basic digital services, regardless of their abilities.
